  1. Your LDO/CWO Application:

It must be letter perfect! Correct grammar, spelling, and not a period or any other punctuation mark adrift. It represents you to the selection board, it's all they have that tell them just how good are. They're looking to select a few out of hundreds and will take any fault in grammar, spelling, punctuation, any errors and toss your application in the circular file.

Look at it as a resume, it has to be your best effort and attention to detail is crucial. If you don't care enough to submit your app error free or not smart enough then perhaps you're not officer material.

I retired as CWO Aviation Ordnance and in a few years found myself senior enough to hire staff members for a DoD contractor. I looked at a lot of resumes and if I found any errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation marks the resume was tossed! Who would select any aspiring CWO/LDO who cannot be bothered to check their app very carefully. And if they did check as careful as they were able and there was still errors I don't want them on my team. Period!!

Remember accuracy and attention to detail. Nothing else matters!
